With the generous support of Toi Foundation, New Plymouth District Council, Tranzit Coachlines, and Methanex, Spiegel Fest is delighted to present a dynamic schools programme designed to make the arts accessible to students across Taranaki. These performances, held during school hours with highly discounted tickets, are crafted to inspire, entertain, and educate—igniting a lifelong passion for the arts in young minds and expanding their horizons.

A STAGED READING OF BADJELLY THE WITCH

Badjelly, the baddest witch in the world, is coming to get you! 
Celebrate 50 years of Spike Milligan’s beloved fairy tale in this vibrant and mischievous staged reading. 
Performed by Olivia Tennet (voice of Kiri in Kiri and Lou) with an original musical underscore by Tom Broome, this show promises to be a whirlwind of madness and mayhem. 
Join us for an unforgettable adventure filled with magic, laughter, and a touch of the unexpected. Perfect for children aged 4 and up, though some themes might be a bit spooky for the littlest ones.

Brace yourselves for Children are Stinky, the uproarious, award-winning comedy, coming to rock your socks off! 
Packed with jaw-dropping circus tricks, a banging 90s soundtrack, and belly laughs galore, Children are Stinky is jampacked with cheeky fun. 
Parents, get ready for a nostalgic blast from the past with plenty of in-jokes and a cleverly choreographed 90s mash-up. It’s a rollicking good time for everyone, celebrating how awesome kids truly are.
